THE MOST IMPORTANT WEEK OF THE YEAR

This is the biggest week of the year 2023. First we had a powerful New Moon at 0° Aries, which is the equinox point and the point at the beginning of the zodiac. This is a very deep indicator of new things ahead, a new path, new consciousness. Aries loves to be wild, fiery - and first. The first to open the door to this new world we are entering this week.
That new world and new paradigm begins with Pluto’s entry into Aquarius at 8:13 am EDT on March 23rd. This is Pluto’s first entry into the sign of the water bearer since 1798 and Pluto’s entry into a new sign since 2008 when it entered Capricorn. For the moment we will be saying goodbye to Capricorn until June 11th. This is when Pluto returns for the rest of the year. Since this is Pluto's first entry into Aquarius, this is the one that counts. It is our first taste of the planet of the underworld which governs transformation entering the sign of the revolutionary, of liberation, freedom and innovation. It’s the beginning of a new energy in the collective unconscious and for each of us in our own astrological charts. Pluto rules all that is residing in our cosmic closet - what needs to be brought out into the light from the darkness and is to be integrated. This happens to us both personally and collectively. Pluto’s essence can be both powerful and powerless. Meaning that we will need to own our power in the Aquarius region of our astrological chart and at times that same area will feel we are at our low point. It’s all a cycle to bring us to a place of mastery, of empowerment.
The signs that will feel this immediately and the most profoundly are Leo, Taurus, Scorpio and of course Aquarius. These are the fixed signs, which are the more resistant to change and movement. They are not necessary flexible, so Pluto coming through their cosmic closet can feel deeply unsettling. The way to handle Pluto best is to let the powerful surge of energy flow and transform what it needs to in your life. It doesn’t care about your personal plans, it is here to bring you to the next level of freedom in your life. The deeper you can go in your life and the more you are unafraid to look at the hidden qualities - the more release and power you will feel. Pluto is here to take us on a wild ride to a greater sense of independence. There is always a certain amount of surrender that one must have during a Pluto transit. So when you feel the wave arriving in your life, let go.
We will experience Pluto in Aquarius from March 23rd to June 11th, when it will then retrograde back into Capricorn until January 2024. There will be more back and forth next year, but for now we will be experiencing symptoms of transition. There will be days when we are unsettled, anxious, chaotic and very, very sensitive. Please be mindful of yourself and others during this time, as you may unwittingly be in a mood that is less than wonderful. Pluto transitioning between two signs often brings unwarranted fears into our lives, but please know that this is just our own unconscious resistance to deep change. Once we grow accustomed to this energy, we will be able to navigate the times more easily.
On Saturday, March 25th, Mars will enter Cancer after spending 7 months in the sign of Gemini. Another major change in March, Mars is the planet of the warrior, of confidence, passion and initiation. Cancer is the sign of the home, family, ancestry, hospitality and domestic matters. Our attention may turn to these matters more emphatically with Mars present in this water sign. In any case, it will be a relief to feel the calming of our minds and thoughts after Mars leaves mentally oriented Gemini.
