LUNAR ECLIPSE: A TIME FOR SACRED DISRUPTION

Welcome to eclipse season, astrodarlings!

Yes, the first eclipse is upon us on September 7, with a total Lunar Eclipse at 15° Pisces. The Sun is in Virgo receiving an opposition from the Moon in Pisces, as a Lunar Eclipse is always a Full Moon. This is a particularly powerful eclipse as it lands close to the North Node in Pisces.

Pisces is a dreamy, mystical, visionary water sign. An eclipse there opens the door to our imagination, to our subconscious, to the spiritual realms. This encourages us to connect with Source, both within us and all around us. Pisces eclipses dissolve the walls we’ve built between ourselves and the infinite. The Moon in Pisces is already porous, psychic, attuned to the unseen; add an eclipse and the veil thins even further. This eclipse invites us to remember that we are not separate droplets but movements of the same vast sea. In Pisces, Source isn’t something you “reach for” — it’s what you dissolve into. The practice becomes one of surrender, of allowing the tide to carry you instead of swimming upstream. Tapping into Source during this eclipse isn’t about dramatic downloads or fireworks. It’s about softening, surrendering and trusting that your very being is a living conduit.

Meanwhile our sleep can be stirred by dreams dredging up ancient companions, old patterns, ancestral echoes—it’s like the eclipse hand reaches into your subconscious filing cabinet and pulls out the dusty folders marked “ready for release.” Don’t be surprised if you experience emotional tides in these days. Just allow the feelings to pass through you, knowing that opening to them is always more productive that resisting them. This is just the last sediments being stirred so that clearer waters can flow.

Eclipses often ask us to release what’s no longer necessary and this one is no exception. Since the eclipse happens at the North Node, we’re looking at an opening of our future, our fulfillment and where we can make space to bring in the newness. Where the eclipse lands in our chart is where we need to trust our intuition and something greater than ourselves. The South Node in Virgo where the Sun is traveling now highlights where we may be hanging on to old patterns of control and of predictability. That’s where we’re being asked to loosen our grip and let go. We can do this by re-examining our mental patterns, dialogues and beliefs. It’s time to disrupt our comfort zones and surrender the old dialogue.

And as if an eclipse isn’t enough action for this weekend, we’ve just experienced the station retrograde of the planet Uranus in early Gemini. Uranus is the great awakener, but it can also be the great disrupter and it goes along with the eclipse’s nudge to clear outdated narratives. Uranus invites a subtle revolution of consciousness, quietly rewriting our identity habits. Uranus is on track to revisit the sign of Taurus for a short while from November 7, 2025 to April 24th, 2026 before it returns to Gemini for the next 7 years. We’ll be given the opportunity to tidy up practical matters we’ve been working on since 2018.

These two cosmic events are not separate. The Pisces eclipse reveals what needs release. Uranus retrograde rewires thought patterns. Here are some practices we can do to work with these energies:

Sacred Stillness
Sit in silence. Imagine yourself sinking beneath the surface of water. Each breath drops you deeper into the quiet where only Source hums. Ask no questions; simply listen.

Source Invocation
Speak aloud:
“I open to the eternal current. I dissolve my edges. I let Source breathe through me.”
Pisces magic amplifies words carried with reverence — they ripple out and return magnified.

Dream Tending
Eclipses in Pisces often deliver Source messages through dream or vision. Keep pen and paper by your bed. When you wake, even mid-dream, jot down phrases, symbols, feelings. They may be Source’s way of mapping your next spiral.

Water Ritual
Bless a bowl of water. Gaze into it as if it were a mirror to the divine. Ask the water: “What does Source wish me to remember tonight?” Drink, anoint yourself, or return it to the earth.

This is the first of two eclipses, the second one being a Solar Eclipse on September 21st in the sign of Virgo. Stay tuned for more info as the season proceeds.

With much love and gratitude,

Deb
